Micros on the Monument--Microcars Downtown Racine 26 July 2008

Like small cars???
Well check out
Micros on the Monument
Saturday, 26 July 2008.
10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Free Admission
There will also be a
People's Choice Award
given to the most popular car on display.
So do not forget to vote while admiring these microcars
Microcars are as less than 11 feet long
and/or having a 1000cc or less engine displacement.
The microcars could have 3 or 4 wheels.
Microcars dates back to the 1950's and 1960's.
The cars were mainly built out of need for smaller cars
following WWII in Europe.
Europe did not have enough
money or materials
to build bigger cars
so they built the microcars.
Clubs and associations exist for microcars worldwide.
There is even a museum for the microcars
in
Madison, Georgia
