The BIG fishing contest for Racine
starts Saturday, 12 July 2008
and
ends Sunday, 20 July 2008.
This used to be called Salmon-A-Rama
and now it is called Big Fish Bash.
I think most people will still call it Salmon-A-Rama
either out of habit or because they can not remember the new name.
The new name is definitely appropriate since people catch fish other than salmon. I never could figure out why the contest had the name it did.

in addition to the regular fishing contest.

Last year over 1,500 people entered the contest from 18 states.
That is very nice.
If you have never gone here it is actually kind of fun
even if you do not fish like me. LOL
There is food, music, and it can be exciting
if you happen to be there when someone comes in with a huge fish.
